The release date for this V8 will be introduced on May 10th in China and other markets to follow.
As far as specs go, we got rumors are indicating that it might ship with two 12-megapixel sensors on the back, just like the P9 and P9 Plus, but without Leica’s lenses. Huawei’s Kirin 950 64-bit octa-core SoC could be the perfect processor for this phone, and the Honor V8 will probably ship with either 3GB or 4GB of RAM on the inside. The fingerprint scanner will probably also be included here, and the device will be made out of metal. Android 6.0 Marshmallow will come out of the box, and on top of it, you’ll be able to find Huawei’s Emotion UI (EMUI) skin.
That is pretty much all the info we have at the moment. The Honor 6, Honor 6 Plus and Honor 7 have been selling really well for the company, so expectations will be high for this smartphone as well.
